Medicine Residency Program participates in the National
Resident Matching program. First year applicants interested in
applying to the program should apply through the Electronic Registration Applications Service (ERAS). U.S. and Canadian students should contact their medical school
Deans Office for information regarding ERAS. Foreign medical
school graduates must contact the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, which will assist them in their ERAS application. The deadline
for ERAS applications is the first Friday in November. The Residency
does not accept applications outside of ERAS. Second year openings are
filled by direct application to the program.
If an applicant is selected for an interview, interviews are scheduled
every week, from November through January. Information concerning
interview dates, accommodations, schedules and transportation
will be provided to qualified applicants after preliminary file
screening.
Pocatello maintains a small airport with connections to Salt Lake
City, Idaho Falls, Boise and other cities. Candidates may consider
flying into Salt Lake City and driving north on Interstate 15
(a two and one-half hour drive), or flying into Boise and heading
east on Interstate 86, (a three and one-half hour drive). Many
candidates choose to combine an interview in Pocatello with interviews
at other programs in the Northwest region, such as Spokane, Boise,
Billings and Ogden.

Stephanie Mai, Residency Coordinator, at 1-800-627-4781.
