daho State University offers a remarkable combination of academic excellence and relaxed lifestyle amid the splendor of the West’s great outdoors. Located in the Portneuf River Valley, in Pocatello, this state-supported institution serves more than 12,500 students with a wide array of undergraduate and graduate programs not only in the health professions, but also in arts and sciences, business, education, engineering and pharmacy. An additional important part of ISU is the College of Technology, which meets the needs of business and industry for well-trained employees.
Students from every county in Idaho, all 50 states and more than 40 foreign countries find an abundance of top-flight academic programs at ISU, including nationally recognized courses of study in business and pharmacy.
With outstanding programs in pharmacy and the health sciences, ISU is the state’s designated leader in the health professions. The Kasiska College of Health Professions at Idaho State University was the first college of allied health established in the higher education system in Idaho. Since its origin in 1968, the College has assumed a leadership role in the development of new health-related professions programs. The College now includes eleven departments, including the Department of Family Medicine.
In addition to the main campus in Pocatello, ISU provides classes and degree-granting courses of study at Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise and Lewiston, with classes offered either on site or via distance learning.
Many of the resident’s spouses have taken advantage of the minimal cost of courses to further their advanced education towards bachelor’s or master’s degrees.
